Excellent service. Professional, responsive, personal and local. We had been badly let down by a national firm and it was so good to work with a local company. Thank you.

The facts about Hornets & Wasps
Hornets and Wasps are mostly not harmful, but they can pose a threat to you and your family. Let’s discover a little bit about these pests.
- Like most nest-building insects, hornets will usually only attack and sting any intruder to defend their colony. They prefer to attack in large numbers and their sting carries five times more poison than that of an ordinary wasp.
- Some hornets construct their homes from saliva and wood pulp, and they may measure over 2 feet in length. The nests last for one year with hundreds of workers. A typical hornet nest includes a single entrance, hexagonal combs, and an outer covering.
- Paper wasps construct round-shaped nests of a paper-like material that resembles an umbrella. Most nests are located in sheltered areas, such as tree branches, on the edge of an open pipe, under awnings, under porches, and beneath decks.
- Bees are a great source of protein for hornets’ future queens. They are five times larger than your average European honey bee. A few giant hornets can destroy a bee’s entire colony.
